Dear Swati Goyal,

Well, my first advice is always to enroll in a class in an English speaking country, with a qualified and experienced English teacher, although I understand that this is not always possible.
Finding an English tutor who can give you one-to-one tuition where you are is also very useful in preparing for an exam, and / or learning English in general.
If you are studying on your own, or doing extra work to support the work you already do in class, then I would suggest;
Getting a good self study book with practice tests
Reading as much English as you can, as often as you can (There are many graded readers available for particular levels of English, as well as newspapers, magazines and websites)
Speak English as much as possible.
Watch English language TV channels, or listen to English language radio as much as possible.
Find a native English speaker or good non-native speaker to check your written work for you.
Of course, if you have any questions about the grammar or vocabulary you come accross, feel free to ask questions here, too
