"expression/usage"


          

I often find the expression "have the possibility to (do something)" on the Internet. To me it sounds like a Germanism or has this expression really become standard English (or always been)? Thank you for any comments on this.

I've heard native speakers use it, but I don't personally. Instead, I choose expressions like 'have the chance to ...', 'have the opportunity to do something' or 'have the good fortune to ...'
